STERILE COMPOUNDING

At Life worth Living, our sterile and non-sterile compounding is done under the strict guide lines of USP Chapter <797>.
USP <797> describes the guidelines, procedures and compliance requirements for compounding sterile preparations and sets the standards that apply to all settings in which sterile preparations are compounded.
Our state-of-the-art clean room is available for high-risk compounding that meets and exceeds the USP Chapter <797> guidelines. We currently are one of the first to have a negative sterile room (chemo and hormone replacement compounding) with 2 positive
sterile rooms. One is used for personnel gowning and preparation,the other for general IV, IM, SubQ and Ophthalmic sterile compounding.
Our (3) ISO Class 7 clean rooms have multiple High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters with a state-of-the-art invisible hoods, horizontal, vertical and powdered (BHRT), Certified Laminar Flow Hoods. Our ingredients are ordered and are received from FDA registered manufacturers or suppliers who take pride in taking all the steps necessary to stock quality pure products.
Our ingredients are ordered and received with a certificate of analysis, material data safety sheet and pedigree documents as required by the DOH.
Our preparations undergo pyrogen and sterility testing. Sterile preparations are tested by an independent lab to ensure its identity using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
Our preparations are prepared by qualified, license and certified pharmacists and technicians. We conduct routine environmental microbiological testing and strictly adhere to aseptic technique guidelines. Our pharmacy environment meets or exceeds ASHP Risk Level III guidelines and USP High Risk Sterile Compounding guidelines as outlined by <797>.

Steroid/Sterile Preparations
Each prescription is prepared to your volume and concentration specifications, in new No-Crimp Lyoseal® sterile vials and is compounded with USP quality ingredients. You can also be assured of your patient’s safety and our preparations quality and sterility. A random sample of the preparation is sent to an independent lab, to be analyze and results are sent back for our records which are available for our patients and physicians,
